Curriculum
Siddarth Krishna (Lead) is a fourth-year Chemical Engineering major and Philosophy minor who joined BEAM in Spring 2011. He enjoys teaching science to kids, tennis, Cal Football, traveling (he loves jetlag), and excessively long BEAM emails. Nathan Ellebracht is a senior chemical engineering major and French minor. He particularly enjoys riding bikes, doing science, and dancing to lively Punjabi music. On any given day, you might find him up late studying, enjoying sad music or books, running tiny chemical reactions, or maybe even mentoring some elementary school kids. Marty Gelenter is a third year chemical engineering student here at UC Berkeley. He graduated from Point Loma High in sunny San Diego, but much prefers the Bay Area's more fair skinned friendly climate. In his spare time he enjoys delving into the discipline of hot sauce connoisseurship, growing various styles of facial hair, and going on runs to explore the Berkeley hills and other surrounding areas. Amanda Haack is a second year bioengineering major. She grew up in Roseville, CA where she did synchronized swimming for several years and worked in a coffee shop. She enjoys making (and of course eating) chocolate chip pancakes. Shusaku Matsuda is a 4th year Chemical Engineering major. He loves to dance and exercise. Carly Schaeffer is a third year Civil Engineering major. She loves baking, hiking, and taking advantage of living in the Bay Area. Her favorite ethnic food is Ethiopian and she will never say no to some Rocky Road ice cream! John Wilcox is a senior Mechanical Engineering student. He loves working on projects in his spare time, such as model airplanes. His favorite BEAM activity is water rockets. Matt Zhang is a sophomore here at Berkeley, majoring in mechanical engineering. Even when he's not traveling, he'll probably have a camera in hand, trying to capture the best of the world around him.

Logistics
Helen Park (Lead) is currently a third year bioengineering major. She has been in BEAM since her first semester at Cal and absolutely loves everything about it from the awesome people to the amazing experiences she has gained so far. During her free time, she loves to explore different restaurants in the area, work on arts and crafts projects that she gets from Pinterest, meet new people, and travel. Samantha Chin is a third year MCB major with an interest with attending graduate school in the future. She joined BEAM during her first semester at CAL and has been with the club since then. When she's not stuck in school, she enjoys hiking, watching way too much TV, exploring the Bay Area, and napping. Yiran Li is a third year chemical engineering major from Beijing, China. She loves playing tennis, watching films and traveling. She can't stand chipped nails and has a problem with nail polishes. Lily Montoya is a 4th year chemistry major at UC Berkeley. She's been part of BEAM since her freshman year and the logistics staff since her sophomore year. She loves working with kids and believes it is one of the most rewarding experiences of her college life. In her free time she nurses a healthy addiction to coffee, bacon, and film. Emily Sakaguchi is a second year chemical engineer who is always looking for inspiration. She enjoys finding new food places that make her (and her stomach) happy and will never say no to tea or coffee. At home, she loves spending time with her 10 year old brother who motivates her to be a good role model. Matt Zhang is a sophomore here at Berkeley, majoring in mechanical engineering. Even when he's not traveling, he'll probably have a camera in hand, trying to capture the best of the world around him.

Activities
Robert Chen (Lead) is a fourth year BioE-MSE joint who has been a part of BEAM for five semesters. He has been Curriculum head, the BEAM Classroom Mentoring head, and is now the Activities head. When not at BEAM, he can often be found working on his project in the Dueber Lab on the 5th floor EBI, cooking, running, or discovering new places to nap on campus. Isabella Flores is a fourth year from Orange County double majoring in Sociology and Media Studies and minoring in Education. She likes traveling, adventures, coffee, reading, the outdoors, and pistachio ice cream! Anjali Gopal is a junior majoring in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research! She's been a part of BEAM for two years and holds a lot of importance and enthusiasm for what the club does for students in nearby communities. Last year she was on the Logistics Committee as a part of staff and in addition to that she helped out with many addition activities and contributed to events. This year she's really looking forward to taking forward the community of BEAM with activities committee as well as really bonding with staff, the schools, and the students she work with! Carly Schaeffer is a third year Civil Engineering major. She loves baking, hiking, and taking advantage of living in the Bay Area. Her favorite ethnic food is Ethiopian and she will never say no to some Rocky Road ice cream! Evan Winger is a third year Mechanical Engineering major from Southern California. He enjoys eating lollipops and pretending to be a gorilla. An aspiring bioengineer and self-professed technophile, Zachary Zeleznick loves to examine life's problems through a scientific lens and devise solutions to maximize his total utils. Currently, he is dabbling in the culinary arts with the precepts of organic chemistry as his guide. When he finds time in between battling a technical-heavy course load, balancing extra-curricular activities, and overcoming the banalities of off-campus housing, Zach is likely to be actively learning about body mechanics through sports and outdoor activities (biking, kayaking, rock-climbing; etc.) or discussing life's mysteries with his friends. Feel free to contact him if you have any questions!

Site Leaders
Kjell Ferdinand Ekman (Coordinator) is a 3rd year Mechanical Engineer with a minor in African American Studies. He loves to be active, currently the captain of the UC Berkeley squash team and an avid soccer player. He is always looking for a new adventure so if you are willing to try something new and step out of your comfort zone, call him up! Born and raised in the Bay Area, Michael Fuerte is a third year double major in Cognitive Science and Philosophy. When he's not trying to save the world, he likes to play basketball, go to the RSF, (and pretend to be fit), fail at playing the guitar, and waste time watching Netflix. So if you ever want to play basktball, go work out, or just kick back and philosophize about life for a bit let him know and he'll be ready! William Juang is just a man, just a simple man. A man wtih a mission. A man who wanted something more for this world, and thus after wandering for many years searching for the answer to the aching loneliness that grappled his heart for so many moons he found himself at the doors of BEAM, where he has dedicated his life to the goal of furthering science education for elementary youth.
